Art and poetry from our first publication will be displayed alongside advice and projects from our previous events. Friends and family are encouraged to attend. Ice cream and coffee for attendees will be covered by Open Book Collective.
![]() Tuesday, April 11th 2023, 5:30-6:30pm: Join us for ice cream and a chance to talk with other first-gen students about how money (or lack thereof) has impacted your college experience. We'll be sharing advice on how to budget, find scholarships, and more!
![]() Sunday, February 26th, 11am-1pm: Join us in the Author's Room at the Vanderbilt University Library for coffee, pastries, and making new connections. Graduate and undergraduate students from all colleges and universities in Tennessee are welcome. This event is designed to help create connections between first-generation/ low-income students at all stages in their education. We'll have a few activities to break the ice, but otherwise our intention is to provide a low-pressure space where we can ask questions and learn from each others' experiences. ![]() Wednesday, November 30th, 5pm- Conversation and Poetry Workshop with Didi Jackson @Curb Center at Vanderbilt Join us for a conversation with poet and author Didi Jackson about what its like being a first gen student, followed by a collective poetry workshop.
